I brought my Patrol a little bit closer to the 20th century...

Ant man fitted a new radio this morning with Bluetooth connectivity, not only does it sound great but the cell "reception"/clarity is great so just maybe I will answer a call while driving now - maybe!

Got it all done.

Now for the battery and wiring up the system.

What cable size is recommended to link front and rear battery 25mm2?

What charger, and where is it located? I think 25 is too thin for most chargers, but might be OK for a low-powered DC/DC situated at the second battery.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the response. I'm using a blue sea - automatic charging relay. I'm mounting it close to the auxiliary battery in the rear battery box Image

Ouch!

With 3% losses and an assumed cable length of 5m, this calculator:

Reckons you need 300mm^2...
