Sorry dont get me wrong ...i have had a lot of calls from lots of forum guys that needs assistance when tanks lets them down ...there have been many threads on here about it . I am also very keen to see what the aus ones look like ...we all know stainless cracks and that tanks works better if they are supported by straps . iam looking forward to see how they do it but local isn't lekke according to me

What about building an enclosure with this fitted inside

Brown Davis know what they doing, and have developed and honed their products over decades of R+D, as well as worked in the confines of the ADR. I would buy amy of their products unsighted.

Over the years i've read 100's of sad stories surrounding locally manufactured tanks. Not lekker. What are we missing here?

Anyway, if Brown Davis are bringing them in , and the price point is right, i'd go that route.

Clearly, the local alternative needs some refinement. But while it remains available at the given price point, not enough people are going to pay the extra required to get to Brown Davis quality levels. I reckon you are tlaking at least double, possibly tripple...

And keep in mind, the first 10-15 guys paying that double or tripple price would still be at risk, as R&D is a slow process...

Hey Fanus, yes so I have had some discussions with my team, and they are a bit hesitant to go into the fuel tank market.

Two reasons:
1) Getting the tanks fluorinated for holding fuel and then approved for use.
2) Encroaching on our customers fields of interest.

They have suggested I contact one of our customers who does this and get some ideas from them.

Is there perhaps anyone with drawings or a current tank we can get measurements from?

Another problem with local is they would not have been tested on the patrols with us been rare

I am also not prepared to stuff around with fuel tanks... I can image that sinking feeling when you have fuel leaking out a crack in your tank when in the Marienfluss valley...

The other alternative to Browne Davis is ARB. They do a polymer tank.

BD have too started with the polymer tanks in Australia. Tje guys from Patriot in Australia gave them a punt on one of their episodes. I dont know if they are being made for the Partrol yet and I dont see them on the SA agent's website.
