Guys

Want to start somewhere here, I think that slight missfire/hestitation would be a good place.

Thinking possible causes would be MAF, plugs, check leads, and fuel pump, sommer also fuel filter. Also clean the PCV Valve (thats the correct name I think?

Sommer want to do everything in one go, then I know its sorted.

1) I saw the Bosch fuel pump somewhere but cant remember. Which fuel pump/part number please??
Is it a difficult job to do, the fuel pump?
2) I'll do the MAF cleaning myself
3) Plugs?? NGK?? 1.1 mm gap??
I've heard its a job to get to the plug against the firewall, any tricks there?
4) I'll sort the "external" fuel filter underneath the car myself.
5) Sort that PCV Valve myself.

.............So its basically just that fuel pump Part number I need, I think it was a Bosch product.

THANKS

Anything else that could cause that hestitation??

I had mine replaced just last week when I sorted the timing. I will try and phone to get the part number. Otherwise, Marinus (Marino4x4) replaced his a while ago with an SD electrical one. He might have the part nr.

Ok, so I quickly phoned. Bosch part nr. S000TE12S9

I don't know SD electrical, would prefer a better known brand for this critical part.

I am sure it might also be somewhere on the serviceable items thread - otherwise someone could maybe update their TB45 list with this info?
:salute:

Gaan koop 100ml Rubbing Alcohol by plaaslike apteek om MAF skoon te maak. Het my R32 gekos.

Where is this car's PCV Valve situated?? I want to clean that too.

Just blow-cleaned the MAF sensor with Spanjaard Elektro Kleen.

Idles smoother, pulls even smoother that before.

Still has that VERY slight "dead plug??" miss at idle, and it feels as if it can pull better under acceleration.

Also doing the plugs today, and replacefuel filter - sommer net sommer, dan weet ek dis gedoen.

And then the fuel pump, will either get the Bosch one or order one fron Graham Cummings, apparently he has the "correct" German one (prolly the Bosch??)

But - where's that PCV??

THANKS

Hi Petri

Regarding the missfire on idle. I had the same issue on my 4.8 which only got worse over time and it turned out to be one of the ignition coil packs. Not sure if the TB45 has an on plug type coil but worth checking out.
