Re: Making the Patrol Great Again (MPGA)
That is for me one of the big reasons I pref3r my RTT to a ground tent: it just sleeps more comfortably.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Re: Making the Patrol Great Again (MPGA)
So far in the past month I've met a couple Patrol people here In Kruger, the Patrol is enjoying cruising at low speeds and has rewarded me with averaging a bit more than 6.5l/k!! Yay me!
I'm going to be here till about August 2nd and then will be heading off to Botswana for about a month prior to (probably) going into Namiba.

Re: Making the Patrol Great Again (MPGA)
So, my day. (Yesterday)
It started off much like any other. I got up, packed up my tent (roof tent) and headed out.
However today I was heading out of the Park to go to Nelspruit to deal with getting a new tent.
I get to the Paul Kruger Gate, only to be advised that I should go to the Phabeni Gate due to protest action beyond the Kruger gate.... Ok...
So I take a dirt road over the Phabeni, there isn't any rush and I thought I might as well enjoy the side trip.
I get there and as they are checking my paperwork so I could leave the Park I discover I can't find my wallet..
SHIT!
I did a rapid search of my vehicle and it is nowhere to be found. Ok, I need to go back to Camp to see if I dropped it, I also needed to check at the Camp store to see if I had left it there the day before.
Not at that store, nobody had turned in a wallet and it wasn't on the ground at my campsite.
Shit..my bank card, drives license and PASSPORT were now gone!!
Think damnit!
I rushed off to the Absolution block with a twisted feeling in my gut.
The evening before I had taken a shower and, since the shorts I were wearing had a massive rip, I had thrown them away...
There, at the bottom of the garbage were my shorts, with my wallet happily in a pocket.
I wonder what the guy taking a shower thought when somebody bellowed "you stupid asshole"?
Then off to Nelspruit I went and all is now good with my new EeziAwn replacing the Tentco

Re: Making the Patrol Great Again (MPGA)
.... I'm not laughing at you , but I think we have all had that sinking feeling of loosing a wallet/bankcards/cellphone etc. Thank goodness you found it !!!! Oh and we really don't want to know how the shorts got a hole in them either.
Enjoy your journey
