The Story of My TD42 Build
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 08:35
So I have had my TB45 since 2011. What a nice vehicle. But I recently started to get an itch that can only be scratched by a TD42 Patrol. I jumped on Gumtree and found this vehicle for sale.
I had a discussion with my wife and of we went to Durban to collect the vehicle. The vehicle do have some work to be done to get it into a presentable state again. There are quite a few loos trimmings
The rims was also in a bad state. I heard afterwards that these are the J6.5 Bakkie rims. I sprayed them with a base coat and a mat black top coat.
The tires is also not in a good state and I will change these as one of the first parts restoration
I also needed the little cover for the jack and thanks to David in Bela Bela I got one with a part I ordered for a client.
I will keep this thread updated on the restoration and build.
Here are the two Patrols together.
