Thanx guys, it is nice to have her going again. And I do like the Patrol. (Well at least I do now again)

I am also with SA Warranty. Their call centre has no knowledge of engines at all, Their call centre manager has no knowledge at all. They are trained parrot fashion to say what they will pay...... (I think the not pay is the longer list).

Am going to St Lucia on 18 Dec with the off-road in tow. I will keep the exhaust gas heat in mind, never thought about that before. Will tell all when I get back.

Again I would like to thank one and all for their concerns, inputs, opinions and support. It is always nice to be part of a dynamic group.

If you don't have an EGT gauge already, try to install one before you go.

Hi

If there is dummy tail lights on the car, :woo: I did not know it. I bought the Patrol like that.

Went out and tried them, the only dummy lights on the car is the reverse lights on the drivers side.

Sorry cannot help

Izak, it seemed appropriate to rename the thread to reflect your feelings now, so I did this for you. Looks better in the Index! ;)

Much appreciated

I have tried to change the heading but failed.

Happy with my Patrol is a understatement. At this point I am having withdrawal symptoms because she has not been in Low Range since the Dec holiday.

Re. the taillights, same as my 2003 model, those taillights are on the facelift models that came out in 2003 with the clear headlight lenses with the bubble type indicators on the side , ie. not the diffused lenses.
