On the console the handbrake mechanisms would need to be swopped and that back bracket of yours for the console would also require welding and grinding.

As much as I would like to do the conversion I do not think it is feasable unless we have both vehicles together, time and equipment.

From your side I would also rethink as the bench seat is only 20 cm wider than the single seat so the 3rd person idea is not really practical. For me the console would be a lot more useful than the extra bit of seat.
P.S> If you are ever interested in swapping just the seats let me know. Then you can fit a cooler bag between the two seats.

So I suppose it is time for an update after receiving the SOJO treatment.

Michael finished in March and it has now done about 6 000 km and had one filter and oil change.

Apart from a complete motor rebuild the turbo was upgraded, airbox changed and a couple of other minor things.

Power - boosts to 1.3 bar during the day and 1.4 bar at night at which point it runs out of fuel as the 10 mm pump has been retained.

Temps - Water - Can get to mid 70 deg
Oil - Max about 60 deg
EGT's - If you let it boost to 1,3 bar the whole way up a long hill it doesn't get to 350 deg and towing a large offroad trailer got to 340 deg on a long uphill at 110 km/h

Even Michael can not believe these temps. The interesting thing is that they have been coming down as the motor has been run in.

Fuel consumption with 33" muds on has been 8,3 km/l on the open road and 6,8 km/l in town.

Starts boosting at 1 400 rpm, full boost under 2 000 rpm and starts coming off at 3 450 rpm but will still rev to places I have not taken it yet :woo: :woo:
