Re: My 4.2d GU patrol
Thank you all.
There are things I need to do on the car.
A basic wash (done yesterday afternoon), then remove the damaged rear mudflaps, fix the little stay at the rear door, tighten door bolts, remove the safe from under the front seat and drop the seat down to the factory height again, oil service, oil filters, fuel filter, air filter, flush the cooling system and fill with fresh coolant and water, remove the grass seeds from the radiator and a/c condenser(and theres lots of them), fit the last bracket on the roof rack, replace the bumper spots bulbs... fit my winch, gps, lots of small bits and pieces... it will keep me occupied for years....

Re: My 4.2d GU patrol
I didn't go at all. I worked on the vehicle. Changed oil and oil filters. Removed the radiator and flushed the entire water system, heater cores included. Cleaned half a ton of grass seeds out of the radiator and condenser. Refitted the radiator, filled up with water and coolant mix. Bled the system. good to go!
When Graham checked the vehicle out for me before purchasing he said that the locking hub on the drivers side is poked, so thats going to be my next purchase. Tinus told me that Dawid has hubs. Also need engine and gearbox mountings. Apparently i have to go to the stealers for those...
Also have to do gearbox oil, Transfer case oil and diffs.
I also removed the safe from under the seat, cut out the tubing used to raise the seat to fit the safe. Welded it all back together, painted and put the seat back.
