New fitments and warranty
Dear All,
I am fitting my Patrol 3.0 Diesel with heavy duty Tough Dog Foam Cell shocks and coils to the front and adjustable tough dog shocks with heavy-duty coils to the rear. I am also putting on a 12000lbs VRS winch with OL Bulbar. The vehicle has 60000km on the clock and still under warranty. Will my warranty be null-and-void if let's say I need to replace a fanbelt and tensioner / turbo / any other defect under warranty?
Regards
Johann

You would be well advised to get a formal written response from Nissan.

Hi Johan,
I had the same stuff done. It will in no way void your warrenty. As long as you dont go extreme with lift and tyres or any other mods. That can result in damage. I installed a boost gauge. Snorkel and egt guage ontop of suspension, bullbar, winch ext without any warranty isseus but it wount hurt just to bounce it off your regular nissan dealer. I had concent to all of the above. Only thing they didnt allow was removal of the 2 cats.

Re: New fitments and warranty
Hey Guys,
I got the job done: 5x Firestone A/T adventurers. 12500lbs VRS winch. Pair of Lightforce Genesis spots. OL steelbumper. Full tough dog suspension. Got 40 mm of lift.
One question I do have to ask: will the winch, its control box (mounted centre on bulbar) and spots restrict air flow to the radiator and increase the general running temperature of the engine? Being a diesel it has a bonnet scoop...

Re: New fitments and warranty
Hi Timus,
I don't have a madman no. However, i have driven to Newcastle and back this weekend (700km) and my temperature gauge remains on the same level as it did prior. I guess it's relatively accurate?
