That's a really nice install on that I/C. The extra airflow will make a big difference at speed.

Gents

Ok so just wanted to update this thread of my engine rebuild I did early 2014.
I have done about 15,000km since then and the engine is going strong. Only one problem came up the weekend.....the turbo started making some strange noises under boost. So Monday afternoon I dropped it off at Turbo Works Centurion and picked it up again Tuesday after work.
Turbo is now brand new again and at least now I have peace of mind about it. I was always worried about it as the car was in bad shape when I got it and it was clear that the previous owner didnt service as often as it should have been done.

Now the big test awaits me....... Im leaving for an overlanding trip to NAM this coming Saturday

Micheal, can you tell me exactly what turbo ( exhaust and compressor side) you have on yours as well as the A/R ratios? Is it water cooled or not?

I noticed with mine that there is a little more oil sweating around the pipe to the IC and had a chat to Frans about it. He says I shouldn't stress too much about that as the slightly higher boost that it is set on will cause it to show a little bit more in these areas, as my turbo is not exactly new anymore.

I was thinking about getting a new/recon turbo for the Iron Maiden and keeping the old one as a spare should anything happen.

What was wrong with your turbo? what was replaced?.... and of course what was the costs?
Regards
Cedric
