ja ek vestaan mense vergeet dat die weerstand van staal teenoor koper verskil heelwat en sodra daar stroom getrek word val die spanning .ek verkies om maar altyd twee drade te gebruik vir die klas van goed

One problem many people have with GU's is with their towbar and trailer wiring. This is because the towbar is bolted to the chassis and the chassis is insulated from the body by the rubber body mounts as Ingenious has already mentioned. The simple fix is to put a decent sized wire from the body to the chassis.
This problem is often seen on chassis vehicles where the fuel tanks are mounted to the chassis, and the only earth to the chassis is through the fuel guage sender wiring, and this explains why, when you add accessories such as driving lights (which are bolted to the bullbar, that is fitted to the chassis), your fuel guage shows empty.
