Have anybody experienced that your drive train feel as if it is winding up and start to bind when backing up in 4H on hard surface while turning?
It doesn’t seem to be as prone to the same behaviour when moving forward.
It is as if the front hubs instantaneous lock up?
Is this normal?
Thank you.

Re: 4.8 GRX Binding Drive Train in 4H
I think it is normal. Windup in 4H is the result of different path lengths followed around a bend by the front and rear axles (have a look at how a car creates tracks on dirt when driven arouind a tight corner). When going in reverse, it is possible for the path length difference to be much greater than when going forward, hence the more noticeable wind-up. This is one of the reasons why one reverses into a tight parallel parking spot.
You should avoid using 4H or 4L on high grip surfaces, because the wind-up creates massive drivetrain loads.
