:bravo:
Well done Gerrit, I would love to have one of those SWB Patrols. Can just think what I would do with it after I sold my SJ410 a few years back. SWAMBO would then also enjoy the Patrol even more.

Thanks Gerrit

Now I know which model I have. I have a '69 KL60 Patrol, which im busy fixing. The guy I bought it from only cut off the roof, so it looks more like a jeep. Everything is still original, except the motor. Im putting in a 4.1 Chev motor on the original 3 speed gearbox. Hopefully when im finished 1day, i will post a photo of it.

Hello and welcome, Fanie. Please don't wait till then to post a picture. Let us see it in the "before" state. Why are you planning to change the engine?

Well Gerrit,

It originally had a 4.0 engine in. I dont know what make, but a few owners back wanted to overall the engine, they took their time and some parts got lost. So after buying the patrol, I decided to go for the 4.1 chev. It had 1 in allready, but i cant seem to find that motor now, cause it travelled abit between owners. So now I have to build a new clutch plate, they cant find it in the catalogue, and a dapterplate. So there is quite some work for me. I will see if I can upload some pics in the meantime.

The original motor would have been the Nissan P40 (4 liter) straight six.

There can't be many of those 60 Series Patrols in SA. It is great that we know of at least one here on the forum  . Please show us a picture...
