Model Registries
How about creating some model registry threads? We could have sections for:
* The old 60 Series
I don't know if we have any members yet that own one of these old classics, but I know that there are some in SA. They were built between 1951 and 1980, I think
* The 160 Series
Built from 1980 until 1987 and sold in SA in wagon and pickup format. These were the old leaf sprung Safaris. The Aussies call the wagon the MQ, I think. My first trip to Sodwana involved one of these...
* The Y60 Series
Built from 1987 to 1997, these look very similar to the 160s, but are coil sprung. The Aussies call the wagons the GQ. The pickups were sold in SA too.
* The Y61 Series
Built from 1997 onwards, the wagons of this series are the last luxury offroaders with solid axles all round available from any manufacturer... The Aussies call the wagon the GU and pickup models are also available locally.
The model registries could serve as a platform for describing the history of the different series and for members to post pictures and details of their vehicles.
What do you think?

Re: Model Registries
Fantastic starting point. We need to elaborate a bit and add photos. Maybe introduce a timeline.

Re: Model Registries
I have contacted Nissan to assist - should be straight forward after all.
Well, got sent from pillar to post, but I think I finally came into contact with the Patrol Product Manager. She, was very friendly, so let's see what happens.

Re: Model Registries
Alex, I don't appreciate the sarcasm. Anytime you want to get more involved, you are welcome.
