Re: Clutch slip
The strongest easily available clutch you can fit to the 4.5 is the 4.2 td bakkie clutch. I however made the mistake of not upgrading the pressure plate on "The Firetruck" and landed up having to do the whole job done again. Seeing that is such a mission to change the clutch I reckon that ...

Re: how much does your Patrol weigh?
Had "The Firetruck" on a weighbridge on Friday.
2 600 Kg with full fuel tanks.
Tare of 2 275 Kg is about right if I drain all the fluids and take into account the extras on it.

You can have the shaft etc reconditioned but unfortunately the coil pack is tired and no replacement available in SA. Last time I checked replacement distributor was over R 14 k from Nissan. There is a coil pack replacement available from Auto Parts Supply in Australia for 90 Aussie dollars but they...

Re: Let's talk spotlights
You can get an H4 kit (Headlight conversion) from 4X4 direct around the corner from you for R 1 320. Plug and play and takes 15 min to fit. Did it to my 4.5 and the Firetruck. Makes a big difference. Big spots are not a good idea on the TD :mytwocents: Any idea whether these bulbs are sealed? Becau...
