I have mixed feelings about tyre covers. Have you ever sat inside a canvas tent in the sun? It's extremely hot. I seem to recall on the community forum a guy with a prado had his spare tyre explode inside the stock plastic cover. The thoughts there was it just got too hot, or something like that. Y...

I guess it depends how much time the trol spends in the sun? My poor one lives permanently in direct sun these days. The sun is so hectic its actually making the paint fade on the ‘hip’ of the doors. Mines also a 2004. If I recall, our two are even the same color. I was being hounded by Nissan. A call every week, so I eventually caved. They did it while I waited, was pretty painless. Yes correct Graham, same colour too. Which Nissan did you go to? I think I should give them a call I dealt with ...

So were there two rounds of recalls then? I eventually got mine done last week. Still have the flashing airbag light since a ‘bump’ with a taxi many years ago though. :doh: Gheez I have almost given up on this recall story. It's a simple job to nuke the airbag light permanently so you never ever see it again ever. I posted something about it a while back, last year maybe Yip, thanks, I remember you gave me that advice. One day I'll get to it, but a wrinkled piece of masking tape stuck on the dash will do for now :lol:...
