Re: 2005 Y61 tb48 auto smoking
Mine does the same, has done so for years. Different oils have helped a bit, at this stage I am not concerned. For me, it is just a small bit of white smoke which clear up after a little bit of time.

Re: What tyres to buy
I'm following this closely, I need new tyres too, but will push it to December time. Lanvigators Catchfors M/T? Anyone here used them? A customer of mine put them on his Ranger about a year ago and they look great, he says he is very happy with them but all the reviews I have seen, and there are not...

Re: PlanetMultimedia 6.75inch Universal Head unit special R3500
I fitted mine over the weekend, very happy with it. I did find it a bit tricky  , as I expected the previous system with the Parrot hands free kit had literally had 20+ extra wires for me to deal with, but once all of that was pulled out, it became a breeze. Thanks Anthony, I have yet to fiddle...

Re: Winch service
I've stripped one before, a few years ago. It's not too bad but I literally took a photo or video of every step in disassembly. Was a very dirty job, but not too technical. I never ended up putting it back together though as the components had been subjected to a lot of water and parts were corroded...

Re: Winch service
Gents So when i got my Patrol a year ago it had a winch fitted. Never had the need to use it as yet but played around with it a few weeks ago and found it to be a bit noisy/squeaky. To be honest im not sure if its supposed to sound like that or if it is need of a service. If the latter, how complic...

Re: New here Advice on new Patrol
Thanks! Plenty options out there by the looks of it. Nowadays, USB, Aux and physical media are redundant. My Carplay has had it's glitches over the years but I think most part was due to my phone. As soon as I do a factory reset and start again it works fine

Re: New here Advice on new Patrol
Well any radio that does a mirror link from your phone will allow you to play YouTube (think the one nav does allow mirror link on android phones). Regarding the maps, if it uses an igo base map software it can run t4a. I think the guys do load t4a on onenav, but it does not carry the detail as for...
