Open road consumption figures would be informative.
IMO same for same must come down as the engine would be more efficient at combustion.??.
Wilhelm will have to exercise some discipline to tell us what we want to know.
Michael is there a reason you went Spitstronics rather than a Uni Chip?

Re: The 4.5 Turbo
Fantastic job Michael, looks very neat and professional. Gains are nothing short of impressive. Is it imperative to redo the motor internals from a strength point of view or was it to drop the compression ratio? And the big question is, will you ultimately have a conversion kit with pricing for 4.5 ...

Congrats on the performance upgrade…
Extra ponies certainly make for a enjoyable drive.
Any idea of consumption figures yet?

Re: PATROL 4.8 GRX Chip, map and freeflow
I think I'll be changing the exhaust tail piece, at low speeds its too loud for my liking. Its nice under throttle but too loud if you want to do 100/120, especially because the torque converter slips easily at those speeds. So I did get to do a bit of testing and I got to 4500 rpm before a truck wi...

Re: PATROL 4.8 GRX Chip, map and freeflow
So I've had my Patrol at RGM Motorsport.. Doing the Super Charger fitment plus general service items, new oil in the diffs, taking out play in the wheel bearings etc etc And the biggest issue was working out how to over come the speed limiter. Now I know that most like to cruise at around 120 but ch...

Re: New Bilstein Suspension by Mikem
Ant idea why the rear reservoir isnt mounted near the top, similar to the front ones?
I'm afraid I'm ignorant here.

Re: New Bilstein Suspension by Mikem
Those look really nice..
Would you mind elaborating on cost?
I'm not clued up on suspension either, so what is the purpose of the reservoir?
You put new coils in too by the looks of things?
Where is the lift from, shocks or coils?

Re: 4.8L Performance upgrade options
Hi Peter I am not sure what point you are making? At the outset I stated that there is a relationship between KW and NM. That if two vehicles are making the same KW at the same RPM the Torque must be the same. You have just reinforced that, it’s a mathematical constant. The question is this on two v...

Re: 4.8L Performance upgrade options
Michael I wasn't saying all will be the same.. What I was saying is if for eg. one Patrol makes exactly the same kw at the same Rpm as another their Torque graph must be the same or very very similar. It has to be. Similar peak power must produce similar peak torque. While these are all turbo charge...
