Re: 4.8L Performance upgrade options
Carlo I think at some point you will see that you get what you pay for.
 in principle. But in the aftermarket industry I trust very few. Price itself is definitely no guarantee of quality, nor a necessary ingredient in the equation. Happy to share the things that don't wor...

Re: 4.8L Performance upgrade options

I looked initially at the KW graph But if I look at the Torque graph the numbers look poor. Is that because they calculate figures back to the wheels or are those flywheel values? Those are back wheel numbers There is another thing here, is your petrol pump delivering enough fuel? I know a lot of p...

Re: 4.8L Performance upgrade options

That is a mere 6 % improvement, I've always understood that around 8 % is the best you can hope for with exhaust and chip. Thanks for that info. Changed the complete exhaust to a 76mm free flow stainless exhaust; 2. Changed the branches and manifolds as...

Re: 4.8L Performance upgrade options

There is a butterfly valve in the intake manifold than can be removed... it is a bit like an EGT valve in that it is an emissions related thing and when removed is credited with increased fuel efficiency and better throttle response at low revs. I did a quick look but cannot find a reference... I l...

Winch Plasma/Synthetic rope - **NEW** - R2300

I replaced my winch cable with a synthetic rope and after getting quotes locally decided to import my own from Amazon. I brought in a few extra and have three left which I'm selling (at a slight markup to cover my cost). I had a 28m winch cable on my TJM 9500lbs winch and thought the extra 2m would ...
