Re: Second Battery System

So that thought briefly crossed my mind earlier but I figured I would check in the morning Haha thanks for saving me the time  I've been doing some googling and looking in the other forums and it seems this isn't the first time someone has had this idea... General consensus is the same as you p...

Re: Second Battery System

Thanks for the advice Ian  I will have a good look around for other options. Easy to get carried away Haha. I suppose the easiest would be to accept the loss of space for the pure convenience of having the pre-built box inside the cab but if there is another way that's even better. Haha Yes...

Re: Second Battery System

Good point Ian, hadn't considered that  yes I saw some of the guys on the Aussie forums who mounted them under the tray in a tray bolted to the chassis. Haven't really looked under the vehicle with that idea in mind but il check it out tomorrow... Other than the risks you mentioned in the eve...

Re: Hunters Road 14-18 June 2019

My old man and I are keen on an attempt at the ole hunters road. We have had a few mates that have done it recently and 1 that was turned around by the BDF... I think that maybe the safest route would be to attempt it from the north? Start near kasane doing the chobe first either by drive or by rive...

Re: Hunters Road 14-18 June 2019

I'm keen to take a chance at driving the road, we might get lucky. Being turned around wont be great but in that case i think the idea of a "plan b" is a good one.

Re: Coolant leak ?

Turns out that it was leaking out the coolant pipe that goes through the throttle body. Nothing major just the clamp was a bit loose.

Re: Any clever ideas ?

Hey guys So I took the patrol to Graham and he managed to work his magic and get that bolt out. Quite a mission it sounded like Haha but good news is that it is out and replaced with a brand new bolt and mount. The other side was also in a bad way.. the bolt was nearly rusted all the way through :su...

Re: Any clever ideas ?

I'm not even sure that this is the result of that noise I heard yet but it seems like it happened quite recently because there is no rust or anything on the bolt... it did go in for wheel alignment and ballancing 2 weeks back but I dont know if they would fiddle with body mounts ??... The one on the...
