Re: RTT an overkill?
I checked the Bundutop on David Talijaart's Patrol during the river trip. Definitely way overbuilt. It is genuinely excellent engineered. I also have an electric type RTT but all my cables and mechanisms are outside subject to dust and water. The Chinas did not think so far on mine. Now the Bundutop...

Re: Balancing tyres with BB's
I have also been thinking about it. I dont think Plastic BB's will work but I saw a bottle of Steel BB's at the gun shop because I think the smoothness of the ball is essential. Seems one needs 230g per tire. I would have tried it if I found time to do so.

Re: 35" tyres on a GU
the biggest compromise on 35" is that low range becomes a bit fast for my liking, rock crawling there is quite a bit more strain on the clutch. Otherwise it's awesome

Rear Coils wanted
If anyone has some old heavy duty rear coils taking up space, please give me a shout. Mine started to collapse, I do have a second set of coils. Fronts work great but the rears are just to light and getting some nice propshaft vibrations. I don't mind Paying, I would just not like to fork out a lot ...

Re: Am I being silly?
From my current state of mind on the subject Coils are rarely the limit of flex because it travels more downward and limited by socks rather than upward limited by coil. This is concerning obstacles and slow driving. Driving on gravel road and hitting a bump or pothole one would be more in need of t...

Re: Stuck!!
Wow :coolphotos: Salt is not your friend.... :mop: That took a while to clean thereafter I'm sure! Big issues  Since all those Toyotas couldn’t pull me out I had to try and break the suction with help from my clutch and by turning side to side. Little did I know the fine salt would be creeping...
