DAY2-TRIP.png Early AM, I grabbed a cup of coffee in Kang, before heading out North again on the A2. Tons of wildlife on the road. Wildebeest, Hartbees (I think) and ostriches. Road was good ta...

Skeleton Coast, Several Dirt Passes and More Southern Namibia

I was lucky enough to recently to be assigned to a project in Windhoek. A little bit of negotiation, and I managed to arrange that I drive through and I'd be reimbursed for petrol money up until the sum of what the flights would have cost... Worked with a reason - because, since I'd be stuck there o...

Re: River Trip Safety - how many cars is safe

I've done it with just two vehicles before - me in my 4.5 and the old man in his 4.5. However, the 4x4AG were also in the river at the same time. So there were more than just our two vehicles in the river - although we camped quite a bit away from them. I personally just try getting a little further...

Re: Help with leak !

Good luck with the pipes. When you replace the pipes on the oil cooler, it is also an idea to make sure it is not blocked. The oil cooler on my father's 4.5 was blocked solid and took an hour or two to get clear again. Not sure about the 4.8's. On the 4.5 there is a metal coolant pipe which bolts on...

Ah, Ive always strapped it around the front seat headrest pole things
I'm sure that could also work. But I believe it's what the "O-griet handvatsel" is there for. Well, that as well as "O-griet" moments... :rolling: :rolling:

Re: Strap behind rear (middle) seats??

On a side note, there is a pocket on the back of the bottom cushion of the seat to safely stow the straps when not in use.

This will prevent them from getting jammed in the locking mechanism... :rolling: :rolling:

Re: Strap behind rear (middle) seats??

You use them to secure the seats when they are folded forward. Strap goes around the "O-flip handvatsel" on the pillar behind the driver door.
