Agreed, on my first outing the tinfoil steps crumpled and I ripped my rear bumper off. Consider an off road bumper if you're going to be playing off road. Fixing the rear bumper with Nissan parts just once will cost as much as an off road replacement.
A quick update. Putting the starter back was even easier. The steps I followed were as follows: 1. I held the starter in place from the bottom with my right hand while screwing in the bottom bolt. This was just tight enough so it is mostly flush at the top as well. I gave it a few turns with the spa...
Ian, I just had another thought, I recall my ratchet head was too big to fit. I ended up using the breaker bar which needs a lot less space. Perhaps that explains why it was easy to get in there.
Perhaps that is a difference between the 4.5 and 4.8? I removed the top bolt from the top of the engine. The wrench and extension just needed to loosen the bolt so the spa...
At the security checkpoint at the Gautrain station I was asked to turn the ignition off and start the car again. The off part worked out pretty well. Unfortunately my toolbox was at home as I needed the space for the jump seats. We had loads of kids to transport this holiday so I had no boot for too...

Try Grandmark as discussed in the thread below. http://patrol4x4.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=85&t=7434&p=100646&hilit=depo#p100646 If they do not have the red tail light and you don't manage to source here you could always buy a set of the clear glass (or silver if you will) version which I know they do s...
