Phillip, I had a TJM aluminum job on a particular car before my wife stuffed it up and then replaced it with a standard ARB job. The TJM was much lighter but not as strong. But it absorbed the impact and deformed and did not transfer the shock into the ladder frame. Not sure if an ally bulbar is bet...

I've just taken the car for a spin on the freeway and the problem persists. So I've returned the steering box to its original setting. Next thing is to skim the discs.
