I used fiber tape from Thermolag 50mm x 3mm x 30m roll cost R300. One roll will do a 4.8 branch by two layers. The tape will smoke (looks like car is on fire) till it is burned in properly. I need a spare branch that I want to get coated for excessive under bonnet temperature. The heat gauge from time to time indicates that the car is overheating but it is not. ( 3seconds from normal to overheat and back).
Every thing at this stage points to under bonnet temperature.
