Re: 2nd DeepCycle?

John, how are you measuring the wire, as that looks way thicker than 5 or 10 to me? Remember, the number refers to cross-sectional area of the copper, not diameter. In other words, you need to measure the diameter of the wire (excluding the insulation), halve it, square the answer and then multiply ...

Re: sway bar , recondition, upgrade?

The sway bar itself will not lose it's springiness. The mounting bushes might be worn, but that doesn't really have much effect. Do you have a sway bar on the front axle as well, or onpy the rear? As already said, weight high up will make it worse, as will worn shocks. The only other thing to look a...

Re: Td42 gearbox noise

This is a known issue on the TD42. It is a harmonic vibration in the clutch or pressure plate.

It does not indicate impending doom in any way.

Re: GU Pickup - tyres on OEM steel rims

Can't comment on the brand or specific tire model.

With regard to the size, you are currently on 30.5" tires. The size you are looking at is 31.5", so a little better. Personally, I think Patrols should be on at least 33's.

Do those come in 255/85R16?
