Re: Extreme Death wobble

There are shims, but if you remove too much you could crack the hub carrier.

First check that the wheel bearings are correctly tightened first, many get this wrong.

Re: My guilty secret

Long overdue for an update Some info on shock lengths. Standard Nissan: 480mm extended, 289mm retracted, 191mm stroke. Old Man Emu Nitro-charger: 496mm extended, 301mm retracted, 200mm stroke. There are some longer shocks available, such as the Old Man Emu 60018, which is 617mm extended, 359mm retra...

Re: Roof rack fix/mod

I am sure it can be done. On the other hand, i promise you that anything except a RTT that comes loose on a bad road will vault that rail with ease.

I have been operating my rack without a rail for years without any problems.

Re: Drivers of this make of car suck...!

Personally I don't come across many badly-behaved BMW drivers anymore. All the bastards who drove BM's 20 years ago are now in Toyota 4x4's. A few, just a few, seem to have moved to the newer LR products. Range Rovers (particularly sports and evoques) and disco 3/4's... But by far the worst behaviou...

Re: Radius Arm bushes

They have rubber non-corrected bushes.

Just contacg Marinus, his service is excellent.

I replaced mine 4 years ago. I have an 8" Record bench vice. No way it would shift those bushes. I had to go stick them in the hydraulic press at work.

Re: My life with the New Patrol Y 62

In Austrlalia, there seems to be an uptick in the use of the Y62 as a challanger to the LC200 in obstacle driving. It is kicking the 200s butt in most obstacles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8rEam4394E I have watched several of these videos now. It is quite clear that the traction control on th...
