Re: Dunlop AT3G and tire chalk
I thought I might give some feedback on these tyres after 6months and 8700km, 60/40 tar/dirt and about 35/65 towing/not towing. Disclaimer: This is my 1st 3ply sidewall on my bakkie, 3rd set on said bakkie overall. Soft sand (beach, dunes) When I took them out on the beach the first time I almost go...

Re: Patrol 4.8 De-Catting real world consumption
Unfortunately, I don't have any Patrol-specific experience. Although my 4.5 definitely doesn't have a cat anymore.
But on my 3.2 Ford, I'm getting about 0.5 - 0.7L/km better consumption with a de-cat.

Re: Steel wagon rims and 35s
Well yes, it's basically the same as what it was with the 33s without any ratio change. The 33s with the ratio change was great, but the 3" suspension lift with the skinny tyres didn't work well aesthetically. I got the biggest ratios that was genuine Nissan that I could (unfortunately, not spe...

Re: Front Lokka Issue
Thanks, yes will take them out and try and give them a bit of maintenance then. Much less work than if it would be a diff issue.

Front Lokka Issue
Evening all I couldn't find a relevant post that covered this topic after a quick search. I am obviously not fantastically mechanical minded like some on this group - but always willing to learn new things and get the hands dirty. So the issue, I installed an Ausie Lokka a couple of months ago in th...

Re: Steel wagon rims and 35s
I am not exactly sure where to post this, but here it goes. So I bought old steelies from a later model patrol, and had them painted. Everyone is running black rims these days, and I was looking for something different- not that a red patrol isn't different by itself. I had however a very real issue...

Re: Steel wagon rims and 35s
Sorry Fanus
Can't believe I missed your post.
The 255s were still very good, but found a buyer. Still have the steel rims though. Not sure how to get them to you though.

Re: Steel wagon rims and 35s
Thanks Bruce
Yes I will have to take the 315/75 due to not having a lot of options in this area.
Ive read that most recommended ~ -20 offset rather than a positive one.
Although Ants rims do look cool, im leaning a bit more to a steely look

Steel wagon rims and 35s
Morning all I am happy to report that my 3" Dobinson suspension is in. And it feels great. Unfortunately the 33s now look lost (255/85R16). I am currently still running on steel bakkie rims (6jj I think). I am contemplating going to 35s (not skinnies). Therefore, I don't know if the 6jj would b...

Re: Dunlop AT3G and tire chalk
Small world. I fitted AT3G non-white letter LTs 120 load rating for 2900 incl on my bakkie 265/65R17 last week. Would also state that initial impressions are that they deflate well and road holding feels better than my previous tyre. Decided to ditch the Pirelli Scorpion ATRs after 35k km - they don...
