Re: Extra oil cooler for 4,8
Hi Rob I received a quote for larger cooler that runs "separate" from the engine and radiator circulatory system (im no mechanic please excuse my lack of accuracy), the guys at Triangle quoted about R1600 for the cooler excluding labor, I was advised this is the best mod for an autobox. Th...

Is your Nissan affected by dangerous airbag safety recall?
Nissan South Africa has issued a safety recall for several local models to resolve a Takata airbag issue. The automaker says: "Customer safety has always been our first priority, as a result we’re replacing airbags in Nissan vehicles built between 2001 - 2013 at no extra cost." Is your car...

Re: The only thing I hate about my Patrol
Thanks Izak
I’ll be refining it over the following week, thereafter get costing and then send for fabrication.
Itll be leather wrapped and stitched like the gear knobs.
Essentially it’s a drop in unit.

Re: The only thing I hate about my Patrol
Coincidentally I feel the same! It’s the most pathetic cup holder know to the automotive industry. Today after being fed up with the cup holders I embarked on designing a prototype. I completed it this afternoon and will use it as is for a couple days and then make necessary changes and tweaks. Ther...

Re: 4.8 Engine Sputter Rev Bounce at 2000 rpm
I just spoke to a friend and he said it "Might"also be your Coolant Temp sensor. That sensor must tell the ECU how cold/hot the engine is at the given time, then the ECU will know exactly how much fuel and air to supply. He said maybe that sensor only reads 90 degrees which is operating t...

Re: 4.8 Engine Sputter Rev Bounce at 2000 rpm
I wonder if this could not be earth related. A body earth that is not making good contact. Thanks Josh, Ill also disconnect my dual battery ctek system (in Troll fridge) and HBC solenoid (trailer) to rule out a bug in this system. As this may be the most logical earthing issue. Beyond this...im stu...
