Re: Who is doing what to their patrols ?

Other than a bit of game driving, I'm using the solar panels on the Patrol to charge the other batteries I have lying around, instead of using the trickle charger, because why not.

Re: My Dual Battery Setup - Help Please

Petri something doesn't look 100% to me. Can you confirm where the black wire on the solenoid unit is going to? Should be on the negative terminal on main battery.

Re: Takla of Escape Gear seat covers

Hey Paul, thanks! I'm pretty happy with them. All in all R4500 for them.

No, I don't think they accommodate the side airbags, I don't see a slit anywhere - will you show me on yours where it should be?

I have 3-D models of the basic outline dimensions of the tanks fitted to my car (roughly 140 l main and 60l sub). Let me know if you want them?
Sure thing Mr Connan, you can email them through whenever you have a chance.

Re: Browne Davis Long Range Fuel Tanks

So what price are we looking at here? This could be a good opportunity to patent the design and re-sell/distribute...? Hey Fanus, yes so I have had some discussions with my team, and they are a bit hesitant to go into the fuel tank market. Two reasons: 1) Getting the tanks fluorinated for holding f...

Rhett, a few questions...

what solar charge controller do you use with your 150w solar panel?

Is the 150ah "monster" battery an AGM?
Ant, I think it's a 50A controller, I will confirm tonight...

No it's a lead calcium deep cycle

Re: My first patrol... with extras!

I saw a thread on the Aussie Patrol forum a while back. Basically they used the existing GU Patrol centre console, and cut out the moulded plastic 'bin' under the armrest / console lid. Then the okie built an insulated aluminium box to fit inside which could accommodate a 6-pack (a lot of wasted spa...
