Re: TB48 Condenser Fan Hack for high-speed.

Super, so 12V direct to which wire on the fans wiring?
hugejp wrote: 19 Oct 2019 15:14 Just added a direct 12v to fan toggle switch on the dash... if it is hot & I'm crawling in traffic it gets flipped, seems to help a bit.

TB48 Condenser Fan Hack for high-speed.

As temperatures are rising worldwide, or hot periods becoming longer months per annum and hours per day, the cooling systems are not coping with these new temps. My 4.8, which probably had it's design in 2003, or before has issues cooling the cabin when not moving in traffic, as there is not enough ...

Re: 4.8 Engine oil

5w-30 recommended, or 10W-40 and 10W-50 is also recommended for hot weather.

Local dealer used to use 20W-50 on 5000kms changes.

i want to use a fully synthetic for 10,000kms changes on same filter. Since my warranty is out, I have switched to 5W-40 or 5W-30

Re: 4.8 Engine oil

Hi folks. By mistake I have purchased 16 litres of Castrol Edge 10W-60, this is a fully synthetic oil. I am in Dubai, and our ambient never goes below 10C temps, and rises to 40C for 4 months of the year. Should I use this oil, or change to a lighter oil 5W-40 perhaps. The Patrol is 4.8 Auto, with 1...

Re: Rapid inflation deflation system

Very good engineering, would like to know more about the hubs, and how the seals hold up, although you mention that you have had 10years of use out of them. How many kilometres?

Re: Rapid inflation deflation system

Here is a CTIS system that was developed for y61s in Dubai, the company that is listed seems no longer in business. I would imagine that the custom hubs on the axle are not cheap.

Re: Rapid inflation deflation system

I have a pressure relief valve calibrated at 35psi. If you need to add more, shut the valve off to the pressure relief valve and the tires you want higher. Each tire point has a manual ball valve too to control flow.

Rapid inflation deflation system

Hi folks. Since i am lazy to deflate, i get stuck in the sand here. So been working on getting the process of deflation and then inflation easier and quicker. 1st step i hardwired my compressor. 2nd step copied a system from wildboar of usa called 2 way air. Inflation from stopping the car to drivin...
