Well first set of Flares outthe mould and was fitted this weekend... Now i have to start the massage process to get them 100% cause they need a bit of triming and lining up.... so back to the grinding wheel... Sorry guys that this is taking so long but i need to get it right before i can be happy......

Compared to off the self roof rack from front runner i am R500-00 rand less than them....they just quoted me R9572-00 mine comes to R9000-00 but i think mine is much stronge!!!!! seeing as i used 38mm pipe with a 3.18mm wall thickness....

Just out of intrest.. does anyone know where to get the unit where the wheel swings out on... i can get it from LAS but its quite expensive, but very nice looking and tuff...

I am making very slow progress as i am in the final stage now of the fender flares... i should be fitting my fenders this week then its on to the next project.... which will be the bumper. so if you can hold on i should be starting sometime soon... i think... but also looking at some other designs o...

That means according to eurosteel website i can make a 3'' or 88.90mm snorkel and then use 4x4direct Snorkel head.... at the top....

So getting back to the snorkel idea... if i build a 3" or 4" snorkel i take it that there is no special baffels or ventures in them it is basicaly a straight pipe coming out the air box to a higher point?? just for intrest shake i drive a 3.0L patrol and i am getting in the range of 8l/100...

So if i understand correctly Peter you say with the snorkel facing back instead of forwards like a "Air Ram" system if we wanna call it that.... your fuel consumption goes out the window??
