Re: Stuck!!

First outing I had with the patrol and I did not turn quickly enough and ended up front and rear high on the sand. Discovered that the winch did not work shortly after getting stuck. It took a serious pull to get the front straight and nothing but a kitted jeep could even get to me. Luckily it stil...

Re: Driver's seat back problem

The GUII seats have a little leaver on the side above the center console that adjusts the lumbar support.

Hope you come right.

Re: Engine oil over filled

The biggest over the counter syringe I could find was 10ml....    Go to a cycling shop and say you want a ""tubless tyre sealant refill kit" Giant make a good one. It comes complete with a long pipe to reach into the hole. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/oK8AQ7uQYPQ/maxresdefault.jpg

My 2011 has a adjustable lumbar support. I cannot recall if my GU I had that option.

Re: Engine oil over filled

It seems that more than 500ml overfill is dangerous. Engines have some capacity for overfill. Beyond that oil pressure increase and you could pop an oil seal or cause excessive pressures in the head and get a leak there. Re: Replacing lights with HID

The problem with just putting in LED or HID lights is that the headlight beam changes and the dipped beam no longer works. So you end up with ricer lights that blind everyone dipped or not. Prepare to have truck drivers retaliating with the small supernovas they fit to the front of their trucks, etc...

Time to get back on the wagon Riaan!
(You must be missing your car)

Note the chrome door handles (suggesting the GRX spec) but with the top-mounted intercooler scoop.
That spec was not available in SA.
Neither was the ST decal on ours. Just a deserter that bought a patrol.

Re: LED taillight replacement experiment

The dummy lights are an area of general confusion for the roadworthy people. The guy came to me in a general panic while they were doing the roadworthy checks!! "There are not even bulbs in the lights" he said!! :rolling: Ihad to explain to him about the spare mounted to the back door and all patrol...
