Re: Funny Patrol behaviour?
Hey Riaan! I shouldve noted the part number before putting it in, but i did notice that the part numbers were near identical but for one part of it, the one that came out was ....454... and the one going in was ...453... I'll phone the guy on Monday to ask him for the whole part number :) Oh i am en...

Re: Funny Patrol behaviour?
Guys when you meet me, please kick me in the b*llas. Twice. I had never even considered the fuel pump because when I bought it in August last year, it had just been replaced. Anyhow, I phoned autozone today and got prices on new fuel pump and filter. Thought I must try and replace as much cheap stuf...

Re: Voltages on MAF?
Hi Tinus, Okay thanks for the follow up! I will be sure to reinsulate the MAF plug properly today to prevent that short :) Most replies im getting are coming down to fuel system. The pump was done some time last year, replaced I mean. Not sure how to test fuel pressure to see if its the pump or what...

Re: Voltages on MAF?
Okay tested this morning with transmission in neutral. All voltages are normal. Left wire reads 1.55V at idle, and climbs steadily with rev increase to about 5V.
We move on... :)

Re: Voltages on MAF?
Im thinking both actually, as I say i dont know much about how the dyno works as ive never done it before. Can any dyno/tuning centre diagnose problems on our trolls?? Because then i can take it to some places in Nelspruit.

Re: Questions about cooling/power
Sharp thanks Pete. Running some tests on the MAF sensor tomorrow morning again. Methinks i may be onto something (see my other post regarding voltage on MAF).
Apparently faulty sensor can cause lack of power. Will keep you guys posted :)

Re: Voltages on MAF?
Hi Stefan, Sharp, I need to do that anyway. Does any tune up centre know how to tune on the dyno? My knowledge of THAT kind of thing is very limted... Steves Auto comes to mind but I'm a little annoyed with them, went there to have it dyno'ed last year, and without even looking at the troll, told me...

Voltages on MAF?
Hi guys, Okay I saw a thread somewhere that indicated what your 4 wires on the MAF sensor, should read, voltage wise. They indicated that from left to right (looking into the back of the plug), the readings are as follows: 1.6-2.0V on the left 5.0V on the next one 3rd one is ground 4th one should gi...

Re: Questions about cooling/power
Hi Clem, Yep I posted a thread a while ago asking whether I can use ceiling type insulation to wrap up my intake pipe, but no clear answers as yet. But intake system gets VERY hot. The hose clamp holding the part where the MAF sensor is gets so hot after even 3 minutes of idling, that it burns me wh...
