Re: TB45E misfire on single cylinder #2 [sorted]

Update and END of ALARM.

Paper debris stuck in inlet manifold sucked or pushed in through airflow sensor - throttle body - compressor and ending up running havoc in turbulence inside the manifold.
Car seems to be running extra smooth now.

Thanks everybody who helped the brainstorming.

Doing that today and keeping the fingers crossed.

Re: TB45E misfire on single cylinder #2

Here a theory as I am running out of options (and now under time pressure as I should start a safari trip in less than 10 days) My mechanic today mentioned that the misfire started on the test drive first on cyl #4 then moved to cyl #3 and now persists on cyl #2. He also mentioned that at some stage...

Re: TB45E misfire on single cylinder #2

Peter, I am running the stock distributor and we are trying with replacement. Spark is on plug #2 but engine runs on 5 pots. I have a handful of injectors, but doubt that's the point. Swapped injectors around amongst the cylinders (1 & 2) before and no change. Yup, elimination process is what we...

Re: TB45E misfire on single cylinder #2

Will check on distributor, might have a spare one from earlier engine swap.

Running additional tests along those lines.

The issue I have is that after servicing the TB45E (unknown mileage as replaced) after I had an issue with airflow contamination after wrong filter element was inserted . The engine is modified with a aqua tech compressor (Sou...

Urgent: Y61 drivers side window and side mirror

Hi guys

Got an encounter with a Kudu on the way to the Cape.
Now I need a side widow, driver's side and a mirror glass for driver side.
Anybody who can direct me in the correct space to look for these.

Any used parts dealers with such parts in/or around Cape Town?

Thanks in advance

Re: Patrol Death/Steering Wobble – Trouble Shooting & Fix

I dug out that "old" thread as I still haven't sorted the death wobble issues. Thanks Ross for your post from long time ago, only found it now but still very relevant for my situation. My culprit is the 2001 Nissan Safari TD42-T direct import from Japan some 170k km ago. (currently sitting...
