Not at all. The temperature gauge went rapidly from normal position to red; like a rev counter! Switched off immediately, which hopefully saved the engine. Luckily I immediately thought of checking the temperature gauge.

New radiator out of the box I must add.

Got a radiator from Graham for R4500.00 and a viscous fan from Imperial Nissan Menlyn for R4300.00. Patrol fixed up again. Received very good service from Riaan at Imperial Nissan Menlyn. Tinus, do you suggest that I replace the viscous fan as well whilst at it?

This specific car is a 2005 model with 228 000 km on the clock. It is in daily use.
