Will not ever be interested in owning something like that.

Re: Faces of the Namid
I did the Luderitz to Walvis trip a couple of years ago with my Colt Rodeo 3L and the next year a trip through Botwana which included thick sand driving from Chobe through Savuti and Moremi with the same vehicle. My loads were similar but although the Botswana (sand) trip part is heavy on your consu...

Re: Is this a Forum member 4.8 that is for sale
If you take the petrol price at R 13.00/Liter, The Patrol at 5.5 Km/L and the "Other" vehicle at 8 Km/L For 1000 Km traveled: Patrol 1000/5.5 = 181.82 L x R 13.00/L = R 2364 "Other" Vehicle 1000/8 = 125 L x R 13.00/L = R 1625 Difference of R 739 per 1000 Km Traveled With the above in mind for every ...

Re: Petrol Boiling in extreme heat conditions
Well done Graham - Seems like the problem is something of the past. It was lekke hot (at some stage near Unions End temp went up to 44 degrees) in The Kgalagadi
No problem whatsoever with fuel boiling etc etc - I'm a happy camper

Re: Tekkies for your Patrols
Thanks for your help with getting the Maxxis Razr MT's Tinus. Although still early days I am so far hugely impressed by it's perfomance, on and offroad. Just did a 4700km trip with about 3200 dirt/offroad. Tyres are way more silent on tar as oppose to the BF and Cooper MT's. Drove for 10 days on bet...

Re: 222K Overlanding Parts Kit
Sorry for the late reply Hannes, but it's a bit hectic from when I came back from the trip. Frans has a 68/72 point checklist when he inspects your Patrol. What was done in the end was: A full service - Oil change, Oil-, Air- and Fuel filter changed etc Long life Sparkplugs All fanbelts replaced Dif...
