Re: Browne Davis Long Range Fuel Tanks

As soon as I bought my Terrano in 2002, I took it to Wouter Gerber of Gerber's 4x4 - at the time he had his workshop at Britz 4x4 and worked for them, but when they were quiet, could do private jobs at their workshops. He made a 60lt stainless tank for me that fits and works exactly the same as the ...

Re: Browne Davis Long Range Fuel Tanks

Izak, I am sure she does not know, but from looking underneath both, the Y60 and the Y61 looks the same underneath and I am sure that when they designed the box, the Y60 was what they designed it for and they never realised it would fit into the Y61. A person from the 4x4 Community Forum, at the tim...

Over the years i've read 100's of sad stories surrounding locally manufactured tanks. Not lekker. What are we ...

Re: Browne Davis Long Range Fuel Tanks

In both my Terrano and my GQ Patrol I had second (aux) tanks fitted, the one in the Terrano was built and fitted by Gerbers on the East Rand and the one in the GU (65lt) I made up in cardboard and duct tape myself and I made sure it fitted so as to make maximum use of available space. I had Uys of S...

Re: Down Van Zyls Pass Towing Trailers and Caravans: Patrol, Cruiser, and Jimny

Yes, it was the same tour. I remember how impressed we were with your setup. Daniel mentioned that it can only be a Patrol from "CA", that can look that good :rolling: :rolling: . Keep posting the video's, I have subscribed to your channel.

Re: Down Van Zyls Pass Towing Trailers and Caravans: Patrol, Cruiser, and Jimny

Thank you. Yes, I fetched lots of leaves. And it doesn't help to get clever and bring multiple leaves either! I am pretty sure it was the exact same campsite... While taking that picture, I heard a sound behind me (keep in mind it was full dark by then), and found a Cape Fox about 3m behind me. Had ...

Re: Leaking Differential Nut

Hmmm... Not sure why it's still leaking. Maybe the gasket is a bit tired and even tightening it up is not enough to seal it all back up..... or, and I may be typing out my donkey (rear end) here as I don't really know how this part all connects up. Could it be where the propshaft fits into the diff....
