Re: My KoolStoof, so oud soos Ek (TD42-Ti GQ 1997)

At home I only had time for a few small things.
Cupholder was on top of the list and I kept getting voltage drop to the rear battery and figured out it was the exposed connection at the fuse. So I 3D printed some solutions.
I also printed a deeper tray for the center console.

Re: My KoolStoof, so oud soos Ek (TD42-Ti GQ 1997)

Then Off we went on the next part. I tagged along with my friend and his family to the Kgalaghadi for a few days. December 2018 my friend's aircon in his hilux decided that it didn't want to cooperate. So the conditions for going in my car was simple: "your aircon better work" Now that was no proble...

Because I fiddled :surprised: One of my oil cooler pipes had shaved through somewhere. Luckily I did pack Oil, ...

Re: My KoolStoof, so oud soos Ek (TD42-Ti GQ 1997)

So with lockdown being fun and all I surprisingly didn't work a lot on my car. So post initial lockdown I did get into a few projects. First up was some repairs. Re: 222K Overlanding Parts Kit

Others might also correct me if they don't think it necessary but a vehicle older than 15 years the difflock's rubber vacuum hoses tend to harden and crack which can slowly engage the difflock while driving, the diff will still work but realising the diflock doesn't work while on a solo trip is not ...

Re: 222K Overlanding Parts Kit

I Highly recommend replacing the suspension bushes at 200+ Km it is very likely the dreaded death wobbles might start. Also with the auto a good flush and clean of the gearbox is not a bad idea.
