To fit this lift in a Troll you will also need,

Caster Correction or Drop Boxes
ADJ Panhard Rods
V8 Power

Hi Grant,

When the suspension was bought from EFS they actually said it wasn't necessary to have Caster Correction or Drop Boxes & ADJ Panhard Rods.

They sold this suspension without it.

Regards,

Almost EVERY SINGLE South African Sales person in the 4wd world here are absolutely clueless in regard to the products they sell, and the knowledge of how they work and what measures should be taken into account when certain products are fitted.

I've often stood there just looking at the okes with utter disbelief as to the nonsense they talking, telling you anything they think you wanna hear. Fly-by-night salesmen. Ive had to school a few of them in the past and its embarrassing for both parties in some way.

n this particular case ,... 75mm lift definitely DOES need :
- caster correction, in the form of either bushes, or better, drop boxes or drop arms.
- Extended brake lines,
- Extended brake proportioning bracket,
- Extended sway bar links,
- Adjustable panhard rods.

Its actually pathetic and WRONG that these okes are selling kits without ,at least, warning the owners about these points.

Furthermore, its dangerous,... brake line ruptures and you have a family dead on the first day of a holiday, people need to take responsibility, clients and suppliers.

PS: 75mm Patrol Springs would equate to 25mm Cruiser springs,..so NO, they wouldnt work on your 79 Series Cruiser, quite right.

My plan is to use 2" Dobinsons flexi CRUISER springs on my Patrol to get a good 75-100mm lift . (Cruisers have way more option ITO pring choice and rates, hence this decision).

Stephen,

As stated, when going more than 50 mm lift the extra's are needed. I have a 100 mm lift and needed panhard rods, and drop boxes. Another member on the forum, Tommy has a 75 mm EFS fitted to his troll with our the panhard rods. The result was off center differentials which is very dangerous.

To add when you go to the 100 mm I did you also need a gearbox spacer so that the correct prop shaft's angle can be regained.
