Shocked

Post by aceventura »

No pun intended- but got a quote from Nissan for a pair of bonnet “struts” (aka shocks); I’m shocked at the prices-see attached

1. Are the LHS one diffeeent to the RHS shock?
2. The price is almost R1500......EACH!!! I can import a pair for less than R500

Will also be importing a bonnet- and headlight guards. Any one wants to add to the order? We can share the shipping costs

Not surprised.
The lifts for our little hyundai i10 boot are buggered - hyundai quoted close to R2k each!

Ive been struggling to get aftermarket ones that work though, Midas keep supplying me with ones that are far too weak. Ive actually given up on going backwards and forwards to Midas now.

Graham - please PM me your number. I'll put you in touch with the Bosch supplier here in Brits, and he'll hook you up.

Jacques I see that you are in Durbanville, Mcnaughtans can't be too far from you (http://mcnaughtans.co.za/gas_stays_stru ... ralia.html). I bought a pair from them in March, really nice quality and price is good. See the quote from them attached...
