Hi Lu-Wayne,

Welkom!

Ek het Desember 'n 4.2d N/A Patrol (Y61) gekoop. Daai enjin is so hard soos klip.

:salute:

Geniet hom! - dink jy weet wat jy gaan doen.

Hello all

Im Hithen. I live in Harare. I bought a Y60 some 12 yrs ago . its the y60 with a td42 t and auto transmission high roof . was looking for an off road vehicle to go fishing with my soon to be father in law who said dont touch it bec its an auto. i drove it and thought no man this is fine! it has good power, stable and comfortable so i bought it. still love it! i then bought another y60 with the short roof. that was very comfortable more so than the high roof but n/a engine. then i bought the y61 also n/a . very nice drive. it rolls more n i dont know why , im sure i'll be asking more about this later! i sold the low roof y60 and kept the other two.

i go to mana pools at least twice a year if i can, and travelled around zim in them . nice cars. people keep telling me to upgrade to a cruiser but im happy the way i am.

regards
Hithen

I dont think the words "cruiser" and "upgrade" are meant to be used in the same sentence... :blonde: :rolling:

"i go to mana pools at least twice a year if i can, and travelled around zim in them . nice cars. people keep telling me to upgrade to a cruiser but im happy the way i am.

It should be the other way around .. I had a Prado .. sold it at 82,000 Km and now drive a 2000 Patrol 4,2 D with aftermarket turbo and some Michael touch.
So my advice, get rid of the Cruiser and get a Patrol.

Hi guys

I am back again.

Things did not work out with the Patrol 4.2 bakkie I was interested in.

Nevertheless I am onto a 4.8 GRX, 2006 model with 120 000km on the clock.

TJM suspension, ARB bull bar and a stage 1 conversion.

If all goes well will have by next weekend.

Any one with more information on this stage 1 conversion?
